Who we are

SowGood is an enrollment platform operated by SowGood Technologies, LLC(“SowGood”, “we”, “us”). Independent class providers — CPR trainers, STEM programs and other enrichment organizations — use SowGood to publish classes and manage enrollments. This policy explains what we collect when a guardian enrolls a student, why we collect it, who can see it, and how to reach us about it.

SowGood is not the class provider and does not run classes. When you enroll, you are enrolling with an independent provider that uses our software. We hold the enrollment data on that provider's behalf, and the provider can see the enrollments in its own classes. Each provider is a separate business responsible for its own conduct and its own handling of the information it receives.

Information about children

SowGood processes personal information about minors, entered by their parent or guardian. We are calling this out first rather than burying it, because it is the most sensitive thing we handle.

Enrollment information about a student is provided by an adult guardian acting on the student's behalf. SowGood does not offer accounts to children, does not direct any part of the service at children, and does not knowingly collect information directly from a child. Students do not log in, do not receive email from us, and cannot enter their own information.

By enrolling a student, you confirm you are that student's parent or legal guardian, or that you are otherwise authorized to provide their information and to consent on their behalf.

If you believe a child's information reached us without the consent of a parent or guardian, contact us at support@sowgoodtechnologies.com and we will remove it to the extent described under How long we keep information below.

What we collect, and why

We collect only what an enrollment actually requires. The complete list of personal information collected through the enrollment form is:

  • Guardian — first name, last name, email address, phone number, and relationship to the student. Used to identify who enrolled the student, to send transactional email about the enrollment, and so the provider can contact you about the class.
  • Student — first name, last name, and date of birth. Used to identify the student across enrollments and to tell apart two students with the same name. Note that this is an exact date of birth, not an age range. Providers publish age ranges for their classes; checking that a student meets them is the provider's responsibility, not something the platform enforces at enrollment. We store no email address or phone number for a student.
  • Emergency contact— first name, last name, phone number, and relationship to the student. Collected so a provider can reach someone in an emergency. These details are visible to administrators of the provider running the class — on the student's enrollment record, and on the class roster an administrator can print to give the instructor. We store no email address or postal address for an emergency contact.
  • Consent choices— whether you agreed to the provider's liability terms, and whether you granted a photo / media release. See Photo and media consent below for what that flag does and does not mean.
  • Payment information— where a class is paid, checkout is handled by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's payment page and go to Stripe, not to us. SowGood never receives or stores full card numbers. We keep the enrollment record the payment relates to, and Stripe receives the guardian email address plus enrollment identifiers so the payment can be matched to the enrollment.
  • Provider account information — for staff at a class provider who log in to run their organization, we store the account email address used to sign in.

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it for advertising or for advertising profiles. We run no advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

What we do not collect

Being specific about this matters more than a general reassurance, so to be unambiguous: the platform has no field for health or medical information, allergies, medications, dietary requirements, immunization records, disabilities, insurance details, or the student's school. The enrollment form does not ask for any of them, and no part of the product records them.

Because the product has no field for it, please do not send us health or medical information about a student — not through the enrollment form and not by email. If a provider needs medical or allergy information to run a class safely, arrange that with the provider directly, outside SowGood.

Photo and media consent

The enrollment form asks whether you grant a photo / media release. It is worth being precise about what that is, because the name suggests more than it does.

It records a yes-or-no permission and nothing else. SowGood does not store photographs, video, or any other image of a student. There is no photo upload anywhere in the product and no image field on a student record. The flag exists so the provider knows whether you have consented to photography at its own classes — an activity that happens outside our software, under that provider's control.

Who can see this information

The class provider you enroll with can see your enrollment. Administrators at that provider can view, for enrollments in their own classes: the student's first and last name, the guardian's first and last name, email address and phone number, and the consent choices recorded at enrollment. This is what lets them build a roster and contact you about the class, and it means SowGood is not the only party with access to your information.

Providers are separated from one another: a provider can only see enrollments in classes belonging to its own organization, not enrollments made with any other provider on the platform.

SowGood personnel can access this information where it is needed to operate the platform — investigating a fault, answering a support request, or meeting a legal obligation. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Enrolling one student with more than one provider

One detail about how student records work is worth stating plainly, because it is not what most people would assume.

When you enroll a student, we match against the students youhave enrolled before. Two different families whose children happen to share a name and date of birth get separate, unconnected records — one family's enrollment never resolves to another family's child.

However, that matching is scoped to you as the guardian and not to the provider. So if you enroll the same student with two different providers on SowGood using the same email address, both enrollments attach to a single underlying student record for that child rather than to two independent copies. Each provider still sees only its own enrollments, and neither provider is shown the other's classes or the fact that the other enrollment exists — but the student record itself is shared between them rather than duplicated. If you enroll under a different email address, that creates a separate record instead.

The same is true of your own contact details: an email address or phone number you give us is held once and reused across the enrollments you make with it, rather than being stored separately per provider.

Emergency contact details work this way too, and this one is worth reading closely, because these details are shown to provider administrators — on the enrollment record and on the class roster a provider can print for an instructor. An emergency contact attaches to the shared student record rather than to one specific enrollment. So if you enroll the same student with two providers under the same email address and give a different emergency contact each time, the contact you entered most recently is the one a provider is shown — which may not be the one you gave that particular provider. If you want a specific provider to hold a specific emergency contact, tell them directly rather than relying on what you entered here.

Service providers we share information with

We use a small number of third-party services to run the platform. This is the complete list of services that receive personal information, and what each one gets:

  • Supabase — the database and authentication service where enrollment records are stored. Holds all of the information described above.
  • Stripe — payment processing. Receives card details entered on its own checkout page, the guardian email address, and enrollment identifiers so a payment can be matched to an enrollment. Stripe also bills providers for their SowGood subscription.
  • Resend— sends our transactional email (enrollment confirmations, waitlist notices, sign-in links). Receives the recipient's email address and the contents of the message.
  • Sentry — error and performance monitoring, so we can detect and fix faults. See the note below on session replay.
  • Render— hosts the application. Traffic to the site passes through Render's infrastructure.
  • Mapbox and the United States Census Bureau geocoder — address lookup, used only when provider staff type a class location into their own admin tools. These receive the class address being looked up and the network address of the staff member entering it. They are not used anywhere in the guardian enrollment flow and receive no student or guardian information.

These are service providers acting on our instructions, not independent recipients, and we do not authorize them to use the information for their own purposes. We use no analytics, advertising, tracking, or session-recording service beyond what is listed here — there is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker on this site. This site loads no web fonts at all. It uses only fonts already installed on your device, so opening a page does not report your visit to any font provider.

Error monitoring and session replay

Our error monitoring (Sentry) includes a session replay feature, and because this site handles children's information it deserves an accurate description rather than a footnote.

Replay is only captured when an error occurs — we do not record ordinary browsing sessions. When a replay is captured, it is configured so that all text on the page is masked and all media is blocked, meaning the recording reflects the layout and the actions taken, not the words typed or displayed. We additionally strip email addresses, usernames, names, IP addresses, and authentication and cookie headers from error reports before they are sent.

These are strong protections but not an absolute guarantee that no personal information can ever appear in a diagnostic report.

How long we keep information

We want to describe this accurately rather than quote a schedule we do not operate.

We retain enrollment records — including student, guardian and emergency contact information — for as long as the account and its enrollment history exist. We do not currently operate an automatic deletion schedule, and records are not erased on a timer. Cancelling an enrollment marks it cancelled and keeps the record, so the provider retains an accurate history of what was booked; it does not erase the underlying student, guardian, or emergency contact information. There is also no self-service way to delete an account or its data from within the product today.

To request deletion, email support@sowgoodtechnologies.com. Tell us which student or guardian records you want removed. We will action deletion requests manually. Some information may need to be kept even after such a request — records of completed payments, for example, which we and our payment processor are required to retain for tax and financial-record purposes, and anything we must preserve for a legal claim. We will tell you if that applies to your request.

If we introduce automatic retention limits or self-service deletion in future, we will update this section to describe what actually happens rather than what is planned.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you or a student you enrolled, and you can ask us to stop sending non-essential email. Email support@sowgoodtechnologies.com and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we will honour those requests on the same contact path.

Some email is not optional while an enrollment is active — a confirmation, a class cancellation notice, or a billing message is part of the service rather than marketing, and we will keep sending those.

Because a provider holds its own copy of the enrollment information for its classes, you may also need to contact that provider directly about information it holds. We will help you reach them if you cannot.

Security

Traffic to and from the site is encrypted in transit. Access to enrollment data is restricted to the provider the enrollment belongs to and to SowGood personnel who need it to operate the service and support customers. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our systems.

No service can promise perfect security, and we are not going to claim otherwise. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify affected users and any regulator as required by law.

Where information is processed

SowGood is operated from the United States, and the services listed above process and store information in the United States. If you use the platform from outside the United States, you are sending your information to be processed there.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the “last updated” date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make a reasonable effort to tell affected users directly rather than relying on this page alone.
